Tiny cameras are often found in alarm clocks, smoke detector, mirrors, plants, air cleaners, and a seemingly endless list of other items where privacy should be expected. Our Hidden Camera Finder lets you quickly scan a restroom, hotel room, rental unit or any other space for cameras hiding in these everyday objects, so you can protect your privacy - and even help bring the perpetrators to justice.

How does the Hidden Camera Finder work?

The Finder generates a special type of infrared light that bounces off of camera lenses. When viewed through the lens of the finder, the human eye can see flashes of light, indicating the possible presence of a camera lens.

How to use the Hidden Camera Finder

1. Charge the Finder (USB)
2. Turn on the Finder by holding the power button for 1 second (the red LEDs will start to flash)
3. Look through the lens of the finder, slowly scan the items you want to check for cameras
4. If you scan over a camera lens, you'll see a flash of red light

Pro Tip

We strongly reccomend that you check items from different angles, since reflections can come from led light bulbs and infrared emitters (like the ones in a remote control), and possibly indicate a false positive. Unlike round bulbs, camera lenses will only reflect from one angle, directly in front of the camera. You can test the finder using the camera in your cell phone.
